This event is still a lot of fun and you can definitely find anything you are looking for at the vendors, but what you will not find is any kind of wild "biker rally" style parties. You will see lots of families with kids on the streets, and the police will make sure there is no public nudity. Which is Bad. :(

They have some great bands scheduled to play at different venues around Laughlin, but make sure you order your concert tickets before you go, these always sell out early.

Dainese G. Speed Naked Pelle

Naked motorcycles have become its own sort of subculture over the last 15 years, and it's easy to see why people are so hooked. There's something awe-inspiring and beautiful about an exposed motorbike, showing off its powerful engine and saving weight to improve performance. For those specific enthusiasts, the right gear makes your ride that much more impressive, and Dainese is right there at the forefront of the culture. Adding to the character of naked motorcycles comes the Dainese G. Speed Naked Pelle, an impressive high-end, performance jacket aimed with as much attitude as sheer brilliance.

Constructed of pure cowhide leather treated with resin for a vintage look and feel, the G. Speed Naked Pelle jacket's rustic appearance exudes a rough mentality. But it's not all looks and fashionable design that makes this jacket such a success. Daienese focused its attention to the leather material used, as its abrasion and tear resistant to minimize aging and breakdown of the jacket itself. Although it's not tested as a weatherproof leather, the G. Speed Naked Pelle withstands immense pressure and natural elements rather well. Riders will enjoy extended use from this Italian race-inspired commuter jacket, day in and day out.

The G. Speed Naked Pelle makes good use of a fully zippered front end, securing fit with a double snap system on the collar. Dial in that perfect fit with waist and neck adjustment, improving the mobility in the jacket for that true naked feel. Chest ventilation lets riders breathe easily, because the G. Speed Naked Pelle jacket is a tight yet secure fit. This breathability comes in the form of zippered sections on the chest, allowing for air to flow inside quickly and easily. Pro Shape protectors and aluminum inserts on the shoulders provide protection during extreme conditions such as sliding or front end flicks, although neither situation is desirable.

Perforated models allow for a natural bending feel, something missed in many on-road leathers. Riders can easily store personal items in one of several exterior pockets, ensuring valuables don't stray far from one's reach on extended rides.

There aren't any immediate issues with the G. Speed Naked Pelle, but don't expect to find any affordable models anytime soon. That high-end price pays for attentive features like a rigid rear neckline, allowing for heavier helmets to rest without damaging the leather itself. Dainese knows they've created a winner with the G. Speed Naked Pelle, so riders will take comfort in knowing this is a jacket for endless miles of enjoyment.

It's certainly not a track day jacket, but the G. Speed Naked Pelle might be one of Dainese's best efforts for the casual sport bike fan base. With a higher-end price point for riders not afraid of spending a little bit extra for premium comfort, dependable protection and downright cool design aesthetics, the Naked Pelle jacket is the complete package. Riders can choose from three different colors to best fit their own riding style: Magnesio (silver), Nero (black) or Testa di Moro (brown).

Best Motorcycle Roads 18 Bridges – Wisconsin ( Guest Post)

Quite possibly the most challenging directions to follow for motorcycle riders in all of Wisconsin, 18 Bridges takes riders on a scenic journey from Delavan to just outside of Beloit. While the ride itself is only 30 miles, riders will be forced to make numerous turns along the way in order to get the most out of their trip. Of course, the payoff in the end is well worth the negotiating directions, and isn't that why we ride in the first place? Strap in and load up your tank map pocket with the 18 Bridges directions, because you're about to experience a bit of Wisconsin countryside riding.

This ride may be best experienced when paired with other rides in the area, although a quick afternoon stroll from Beloit to Delavan never hurt anyone. From crossing state highways and scenic rivers to riding through quiet countryside, the 18 Bridges ride is not to be missed by those traveling in the Wisconsin area. Some of the roads may need a little bit of maintenance from the state of Wisconsin, otherwise much of the terrain is well-kept and easily manageable. After all, experienced motorcycle riders should never be scared of a few potholes and cracks in the road. It's the off-camber, hairpin turns and deathly carved mountain highways that really turn us white like ghosts, and there's none of that here.

Turtle Creek provides some of the best scenery along the 18 Bridges ride. This creek is part of the Southern Savanna Region of the Great Wisconsin Birding and Nature Trail; therefore riders will surely enjoy the natural quality that surrounds the area. Bring your fishing pole, because this is one of the best locations to catch your dinner in the state! Because the ride is so short on the 18 Bridges route, you shouldn't feel rushed at all. After all, if you plan on making a return trip, plan your original ride as a slow and scenic journey and designate your return ride as the fist-clenching, throttle-happy ride.

Winter months can be very unforgiving as far as temperatures are concerned. You'll want to bundle up in one of River Road's heaviest jackets, such as the Mesa or Scout Textile jacket along with your luggage. Wisconsin winters are nothing to kid around about, and they can greatly affect how well you enjoy this particular ride. However, spring, summer and fall rides can be extremely pleasant and relaxing; therefore your attire should not greatly affect how well you enjoy the surroundings. Even for sport bike riders, the terrain doesn't ever exceed one's abilities, so you can leave the track-day one-piece suits at home for this trek.

Unlike a majority of the great motorcycle rides around the country, 18 Bridges is not one that will challenge your very skills behind the handlebars. However, that shouldn't discourage you from experiencing the natural thrills and beautiful Wisconsin scenery should you find yourself in the area on a lonely Saturday evening.
Most motorcycle rides are best enjoyed with family and friends, sure, but 18 Bridges is such a calm ride; you'll enjoy the time by yourself and never know the difference.
